Presbyterian Adolescents Involved Now!

PAIN is the name chosen for our Adolescent Youth Group. It translates to Presbyterian Adolescents Involved Now. For some reason, parents tend to refer to the kids in this group as their “PAINS in the Ashe”, however they come nowhere close to that label! This group is made up of children of varying ages that range from those in the 6th grade all the way through high school senior. They meet a couple times a month for fun, devotion, discussion of issues that affect them, and to learn and apply true Christian values to their everyday lives. Our kids are a fun-loving, caring and dedicated group of children that have no fear of showing their love for God. Their actions speak for themselves by how they perform the Lord’s work, through committing themselves to various service projects within the Community of Ashe County. The children are taught from various sources, the first and foremost being the Bible. They also discuss the many pressures (peer, family and global) that face them everyday. Our youth have fun as well; the “PAIN” room, as they refer to it, is well equipped for a fun time. The kids like to think of it as “their” room, but the entire church family knows better. Various church committees find it hard NOT to hold their meetings in there, because it offers such a cozy environment.

If this sounds like an environment you and your child would like to be a part of, please call our church office at (336) 846-7481 for more information. Find out when the next meeting is and become a part of P.A.I.N.!
